Nic Everist is a landscape artist based in Barwon Heads. Her work documents her lived experience through the medium of acrylic paintings, connecting her inner world with her outside surroundings. 

This collection honours the lesson that the journey is more valuable than the destination. 

Each piece in this collection captures a fleeting moment while traveling across Australia, captured initially by a photograph and then celebrated through this series.   Nic’s technique of pouring paint onto canvas creates organic marks that replicate the organic formations in nature itself.  This element of abstract mark making combined with detailed brushstrokes lending to realism are defining features of her work.
