printmaking and paint  –  by Jessica Watson-Thorp

Jessica Watson-Thorp delves into the timeless qualities of Greek Goddesses, celebrating them as powerful symbols of leadership and empowerment. This exhibition illuminates how these divine figures embody virtues we aspire to in modern society: wisdom, compassion, resilience, and inclusivity.

By exploring their mythological roles and attributes, Jessica emphasises the need for leadership styles that move beyond traditional patriarchal norms. This exhibition invites viewers to engage with these iconic representations and imagine a world where leadership is characterised by equality and respect for all.

With over 20 years of experience, Jessica’s artistic journey has been shaped by her fine art training in Adelaide, Sydney, and New Zealand, as well as her diverse life experiences residing across the Middle East, London, Southern Africa, and now Melbourne. Her rich cultural background profoundly informs her exploration of themes such as belonging, tolerance, and the human connection.

Featured in prominent publications and on MTV, Jessica is also dedicated to philanthropic causes, using her art to support various charities.

Through this exhibition MATRIARCHAL LEADERS: POWER AND GRACE she encourages us to embrace the leadership qualities of Greek Goddesses and envision a more compassionate world.
